He Is Risen!

If ever there was a holiday to celebrate, Easter is IT!

To think that the Lord arose from the dead, after the horrendous death He suffered, is just, well, glorious.

No matter what is happening in the world, when one believes in the Lord and focuses on Him, all is well.

As He said, "I have overcome the world."

In childhood, we always had new outfits with white gloves and hats.

To this day, I am deeply indebted to my parents for that.

They never had much money but wow, their five girls were dressed to the nines on Easter.

I especially remember wearing those gloves! Woo hoo!

Aunts who had no kids of their own always brought gorgeous Easter baskets to us.

It was the thrill of a lifetime and we waited for their cars to drive into the driveway on Easter morning.

Oh, such sweet memories of all the loved ones no longer on this earth.

What a reunion we will have one day.

By the way, the church in today's photos is not my church.

But it's pretty and I like visiting there from time to time.

It's located in Western Massachusetts (St. Charles.)

                                                                        (This is Pinkalina.)

In the meantime, hope you have a fabulous Easter, wherever you are.

Sending hugs to all from the whole gang and me!

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR TODAY?

You reminded me of times long ago when I too as a little girl wore my Sunday's best. White gloves, an Easter bonnet and pretty dress. Good times though there was not alot of money.

Easter blessings to you, dear Susan. You have such precious memories of Easter and I would say mine are similar. My parents always bought my sister and I a new pretty dress with white shoes and yes, little white gloves too :)

I hope your day is blessed. What a joy to serve a RISEN Savior! Love and hugs!

Easter was certainly a big deal when I was growing up. I can remember waking up to find an Easter basket at the foot of my bed filled with all sorts of goodies. And we always had new clothes and shoes. Big Easter egg hunts in my Mammaw's backyard were always so much fun with all the cousins. When my kids were little, we had lots of friends to do all the holidays with. But today, it was just a quiet day at home. Hiding from the dust storm. We don't do much at all anymore. I just finally put out some of my decorations today. Easter blessings to you and yours, Tammy

It's been so long since I had a chance to stop and visit you! I am so thankful I took the time today! I always leave here feeling so encouraged and blessed. May God bless you in a special way, in return. I am SO grateful Jesus arose and is now seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession for our needs! I love Him so and praise Him from the depths of my soul for all He suffered for me! Have a wonderful day in Him, sweet friend!
