Pastel Beauties....

As a child, dolls were almost an obsession.

My father built a small playhouse, attached to our garage.

There I kept a huge collection of rag tag dollies.

Some had no arms or legs and one, as I recall, even had no head! Ha!

But I loved them all.

As an adult, I am happy to admit that the childhood love affair for dolls continues.

Shortly before Easter, the dolls in red velvet dresses returned to the doll
room on the second floor in order to make room for those in pastel dresses!

Most are in pink, my favorite color.

Who says childhood doesn't last forever?

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY FROM CHILDHOOD?

My dear Susan, you have such a beautiful collection of dolls! I have only a few and they belonged to my grandmothers so they are extra special to me :)

Always a joy to visit you! Have a wonderful day. Hugs!

Hello from Spain: you were a lucky girl to your house near the garage. I love your collection of dolls. Great dressed in pink. I love babies dolls. You know that today, in my maturity, I collect Barbies. Keep in touch

No head? Yikes! :) I've had a baby doll from the hospital for weeks now that I've been crocheting things for, by request. I've never made clothes before so am just winging it. I still have my Talking Baby Beans from when I was little but she doesn't talk anymore because I left her out in the rain. :(

You have a beautiful collection of dolls. I have to tell you I loved them in pink. Just loved them.

My favorite toy/doll from my past is my Posey doll - I have her in my room today - I will have to take a photo of her for you.

I had a rag doll called Sishon but she didn't last the distance I pulled her apart maybe to see what she was made of, but as a wee thing I took her everywhere.

I do not have toys from my childhood but I do play Monopoly with my grandsons and I used to play that with an Uncle when I was ten years old. I know you LOVE dolls and always have. Your collections are lovely and ready to be passed on to your little granddaughter.

Susan, what a wonderful comment you sent me tonight on my post. I appreciate it and enjoyed reading it, thank you. We definitely made sacrifices and money was tight, but it was so worth it to be with my little ones day after day. And I'm grateful to my husband for working so hard and helping me out after a long day at work.

You have quite a doll collection there, my friend. And the pastel colored dresses are just right for Spring. I can see that most of them are in Pink, so cute.

It's April tomorrow, oh my!

love, ~Sheri
