As I write this post, some wonderful scents are wafting around the kitchen.
A sweet and delicately fragrant hyacinth, in my favorite color, pink, sits in the middle of the kitchen table.
How it looked a few days ago is demonstrated in the photo below:
Its heady scent comes to my nose in spurts, filling the air all around.
Definitely, hyacinths are among my favorite flowers.
There is also the yummy scent of baking muffins filling the kitchen.
They are being made to take to someone's house for all to enjoy.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SCENT AT THIS TIME OF YEAR?

Well, I see we are on a similar wave (or should I say) fragrance length. My purple hyacinth is in bloom on my dining room table and it's been filling the house with that heady scent that is so Spring like. And, I baked orange cranberry muffins on the weekend, which added another heady aroma.
Your photos are perfectly pink and wonderful. It was so nice to visit and catch up a little with you, Susan!
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead...

Hello From Spain: I love the smell of jasmine and grass at this time of early spring. Nice photos. Keep in touch
Hi Susan - thanks for coming over and commenting. I too love hyacinths .. though tend to go for 'blue' .. but the scent is incredible and intoxicating ... when my mother was in the Nursing Centre .. I'd take her hyacinths at this time of year .. they are glorious ...
Cheers Hilary
I am waiting for the lilacs to come...a favorite smell!
I don't know if it is a smell but the daffodils are just in bloom everywhere here. I bet your house smells wonderful!

My favorite scent this time of year are the orange blossoms on my orange tree, the jasmine bush outside in the front yard and the sweet smell of the air after a rainstorm.
Oh how beautiful is this flower plant. Pass it through my screen here. I can enjoy it for a day. Pass it back to you. I wish.
I will enjoy the fragrance of the lilacs when they bloom later this spring.
The sweet smell of the earth as it emerges from beneath the snow and ice is the first spring smell here in New England. Also, as the ice melts from the lake there is an unmistakable aroma that heralds Springtime....
.. Susan your Hyacinths are beautiful. I'm so happy the Spring is finally showing it's face.
have a great day.. hugs... Barb xxxx
I think our hyacinth is coming up already. I must go check in the morning.
