Goodwill Goodies

Hello Dear Blog Peeps:

Want to see two new out-of-town  Goodwill goodies I got on a recent sojourn to that thrift store?

Oh, I love both of them.

Now stained glass has always been appealing.

The hanging square piece with a pink border is a winner.

Inside, there are dried flowers.  Love it!

Then, the pink covered glass container is the kind of decor that makes the heart go pitter patter just a little bit faster than usual.

There are no markings on it so I doubt it has much value but it sure is pretty.

Maybe it came from a Victorian mansion.  It definitely looks old.

Both of these new pieces go along with the philosophy of surrounding one's self with things of beauty.

It's one bit of advice that bears following.

DO YOU LIKE TO SURROUND YOURSELF WITH BEAUTY?

That piece with the dried flowers is wonderful. And you found the perfect spot for it. Love the pink in it. Enjoy!

You found two nice items at the thrift store, Susan. I like the pink stained glass a lot. Pink is such a pretty color. It's going to look great in your home, as you already have a lot of Pink items in your home.

Have a wonderful week, dear.

love, ~Sheri

Pretty! I do love to surround myself with items of beauty. I am a lover of pottery and have a small collection of some well known and other unmarked pieces. I've been collecting for years. The glazes and shapes just make me happy. It's a good thing to surround yourself with beauty.
hugs,
Linda

I'm not a collector although I have a few music boxes and magnets from places I've been in my life. Anything that brings you happiness around your home is important...so enjoy those items that you've recently purchased as they are very pretty.

I do think it's important to surround yourself with things that are beautiful to you. It makes a house a home.

The stained glass piece is lovely and will look great when the sun shines through it. Good find. I'm sure you will find a perfect spot for the ornate tureen; I can see it holding pink and white peonies.....

You got some real lovelys! Confession: after avoiding thrift and flea markets, I ran smack into two Willow Ware trays at very resonable prices. Hubby said buy...then when we got home and he counted 23 platters in living area he said maybe we should stop!
