Once, when walking through an unfamiliar neighborhood, I saw a house that had pink and transparent stained glass pieces in almost every window.
That stuck in my memory as one of the most beautiful homes I'd ever seen.
I love stained glass of any kind and pieces in pink, my favorite color, are especially coveted.
So the enclosed side porch has quite a few smaller pieces of stained glass.
At a friend's yard sale a couple of weeks ago, I came across a fairly large panel that had what looked to me like exotic-looking pink birds.
It had five identical panels.
My friend said she had the piece, with a light behind it, in her kitchen but no longer wanted it as part of her decorating scheme.
She was asking $10 for it. Honestly, I couldn't resist.
Hubs hung it up. He's so wonderful to have around.
It looks so pretty on the side porch and blends in nicely with other decorative pieces out there.
It's not glass, though. It's plastic but unless you tap it with your knuckles, you'd never be able to tell.
WHAT KIND OF STAINED GLASS PIECES DO YOU LIKE?

That is pretty! Many of the older homes in St. Louis have original square shaped stained glass windows, thanks to the German immigrants who brought their trade with them, and often depicted their homeland scenes.
I do not own any stained glass but in our church there are so many geometric designs with stained glass and they are beautiful. Your porch looks gorgeous.
Okay that was a deal and they are beautiful. I do have a beautiful lead glass front door....
I love your stain glass--how could you resist, indeed! Enjoy your find, XOXO
It is absolutely beautiful Susan. I love it. What a great new treasure.
what a bargain. that piece is absolutely gorgeous. just stunning. I love stained glass too but am into more abstract pieces.
What a great bargain! Lovely piece and just perfect for your side porch. You must really be enjoying it there.
I love any kind of stained glass too. The only piece I have in my home is an inset in the front door. We used to just have a solid door; what a difference that panel makes in the hallway, especially on a sunny day as it faces east and the morning sun streams right in.
