Well, Fourth of July parades in every state are among this country's finest.
Rather than describe them in words, the rest of this post is going to be photos of a heart-thumping parade in the green hills of western Massachusetts!
It was a gala.

Well the thing I like today about parades is the memories it brings from when the kids were little. They would go right past our home! Yours look beautiful!
Parades make my heart thump! Music Man is playing at our outdoor live theater this week, and the weather is perfect for an evening performance at The Muny.

I do remember that song! I always loved going to parades when I was young. My Mom took my sisters and I to several local ones every year. Her father used to take her, so she carried on the tradition. I didn't do as well carrying that on with my kids since there weren't any parades close by our home. But maybe I can find a few to take the grandsons to as they get older. :) Have a lovely weekend!
Oh, I just love parades. We have a special one here in OR in June...The Rose Festival Parade. It's so pretty. I even like the bands and all the music. What a lovely day you had for your parade.
