A Sweet-Smelling Story
Once upon a time, when I lived in Ohio, a friend made the most delightfully smelling wreath.
The fragrance was so incredible.
I asked her what kind of plant the wreath was made from.
It was an herb, she said, called Sweet Annie.
Another name for it is Artemesia wormwood.
Many decades have gone by since those adventurous single days but I've never forgotten the Sweet Annie wreath.
So this summer, I was determined to find the herb and grow it with making future wreaths in mind.
It wasn't easy, though. I called probably four to five plant places before finally locating Sweet Annie.
It's growing well and I couldn't be happier.
HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF SWEET ANNIE?

Not as a plant - but my MIL was a sweet Annie - love the name!
I've never heard of it, but I am happy you found it. I love lilac bushes.
Sweet Annie is a new one on me. It's great that you were able to find it.
Never heard of it...send me a wreath though when you make one.
