Beautiful Doll Found at Yard Sale

Okay, okay, I'll admit it.

Dolls are one of my obsessions.

Honestly, I try very hard not to buy any more but once in awhile I slip.

While bopping around yard sales one Saturday, a truly gorgeous doll could be spotted on one of the tables.

Here she is from the back:

She's a real Asian beauty with pitch black hair.

In the back, she wears a pink bow and white pearls in her hair.

She is dressed in a pink silk top and deep green pants.

Even her little straw hat is adorable.

When the doll's owner said she would cost only $5, it was a done deal.

She's a tall baby, too, and she came home with me.

This summer, she shared space with my lilac beauty on the front hall table.

These two doll babies are from a collection of more than 60 dolls.  There!  I admitted it!

Now, I'm trying really hard to not attend yard sales.  Honestly, that is the truth.

Oh she is very pretty. I do not attend yard sales and have very few "collections"...I do have some music boxes and refrigerator magnets..that's about it. Enjoy your sixty dolls and try to contain yourself..ha ha ha.

What a gorgeous doll! I'm not sure I've seen a prettier one.

I have a collection of dust bunnies. Does that count? ;)

She was a beauty - but that last one is my favorite. So you have sixty dolls. I have to say I don't collect a lot - angels and magnets.

60 dolls, oh my! I'd love to see them all together sometime, Susan. I can see why you like that lilac doll so much, she is just gorgeous. And her eyes!

I do have a collection of some things.......children's books, mermaids, and fairies. :)

Happy September days, Susan.

love, ~Sheri

Dolls are sweet it's true. Finding ones with brunette hair can be a chore. Love the ones in your collection. Have fun looking for additions to your family.

That is a beautiful doll, Susan. The prettiest one I've ever seen. You must have been thrilled to find her and she must be thrilled to e in hour doll family.

Don't really have any "collections" per se, but do seem to have a lot of rabbits. (Not real ones, haha)

We have doll collecting in common. :) I stopped buying dolls a number of years ago because I ran out of room. Your latest find is beautiful. She looks a lot like the dolls Annette Himstedt produced. I have a couple of them, and they're stunning.

It's still a temptation to buy dolls, but I remind myself there's no more space. What fun is it if all the dolls are stashed away in a closet?
