It's a most appropriately named theatre and guests feel like they are really in an opulent palace where royalty resides!
The chandies there are glorious.
Last weekend, we were blessed to see Il Divo at the Palace.
(By the way, the post on Il Divo came out in triplicate by error. I almost flipped when three posts came out on it. I have no idea how that happened but wanted to let you know it wasn't on purpose.)
The theatre is truly a splendorous place to see.
I love the exquisite details----painted figures on the ceilings; dreamy drapes and a legion of angel statues looking down on the audience.
Of course there is plenty of everything gold tone.
What a place! What a night! What a show!
(Can you tell we loved it?)
Hope you enjoy this little tour inside of Albany, New York's Palace Theatre.
WHAT IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THEATRES YOU HAVE EVER BEEN IN?

As you know, my youngest is in college in Albany. We didn't go inside, but my eldest boy and I had to hide under the awning outside the Palace Theater when rain started to come down this past summer.
I've never been to the Palace Theater but would like to someday. I've been in many beautiful places...one of my favorites is Segrestrom Hall in Costa Mesa...modern and very very beautiful. I've also been in old old theater places like the Vienna Opera House in Vienna, the gorgeous Budapest Theater in Hungary and La Scala in Italy. Going to shows is my very favorite activity in the world.
That place is gorgeous and I know all those oink hues made you happy. We have the Fox Theater in our town which is something to gaze at.
Well when we lived in Chicago we had some beautiful theaters - there is history there too like at your home. Here in GA - did you know after the civil was - or during - everything in the city of Atlanta was burned down to the ground except two buildings. So every thing here is around two hundred years old or younger. We do have the fabulous Fox theater where Margaret Mitchell's movie GOne With The Wind - first played.
That is a fancy theater ours are not so fancy but if you include The Sydney Opera House it's pretty fancy .
