Newfound "Treasures"

The best part of yard sale shopping is never knowing what one is going to find.

It's like going on a real treasure hunt.

At one sale attended this past summer, the woman holding the sale must have been a retiring Mary Kay salesperson.

There were tons of lotions, perfumes and so forth on the tables at slashed prices.

The items were all brand new and unopened.

I bought some "Belle"  body lotion and perfumed spray and love using them after taking a bath.

Also picked up a black bracelet at a sale but the rubber to which doodads are attached is pretty stretched-out which is probably why it was sold at a yard sale.

Some lovely old-fashioned screw type earrings were a good purchase, especially since sapphire is my birthstone.

Because I just love the look and feel of a lace cloth on the kitchen table, a $1 lace tablecloth was definitely the best deal of the day.

It's in perfect shape, too, and guess what?

I am grateful!

This is the month to focus on gratitude, for even the littlest things.

Then, we can carry over that gratitude for the rest of 2016 and into the new year.

IF YOU GO TO  YARD SALES, DO YOU LOOK FOR SPECIFIC ITEMS OR JUST LEAVE IT TO SERENDIPITY?

  1. I am so grateful for the wonderful things I find at bargain prices when I shop. Saving money is important to me. Sometimes I have a list of items I'm searching for but I'm always open to whatever catches my eye! Hugs.

  2. Ooooo, those sapphire earrings are so pretty, Susan. I love that color in fashion. And what a great deal on the table cloth. My sister first introduced me to yard sales many years ago, and ever since then, I was hooked. Love finding goodies there, especially one-of-a-kind items. :)

    Have a beautiful week, Susan.

  5. Oh Susan, yes your table cloth is the winner! When I was looking for a replacement for my round table, I was shocked at the prices! Your new one is lovely.
Thank you for asking about me. I am still having a hard time with diet and meds. Now I have to see a kidney specialist in Dec and I am very concerned. Thank you for your prayers...I so appreciate them.
    Happy November.
    Love
