Every holiday season, it's fun to pick up a new decoration or two for the house.
This year, I really had no intention of adding to the already more than sufficient number of Christmas decorations around here.
However, something I saw in an advertising supplement for Bed, Bath and Beyond caught my attention.
Advertised were outdoor mats for the porch that light up as well as play music.
What?
A-yup. Such a novelty deserved a look so off I went to the store.
The mats are adorable and play "Jingle Bells" when stepped on.
And yes, the Christmas tree shown on the mat also lights up.
Every time I hear it, it cracks me up, as I know someone is wondering where the music's coming from.
It's right at their tippy toes!
Hubs, however, tries to step over the mat to avoid the music. What a riot!
I bought one for our house and one for my daughter's, as well. 'Tis the season, right?
Who cannot use a little chuckle?
WOULD YOU EVER USE A LIGHT-UP, MUSICAL MAT TO WELCOME HOLIDAY GUESTS?
SOOOO funny. I was just there today but didn't know about these. I think it would be great fun to put one on my daughter's door and let them discover it! You always know how to have fun.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Happy December.
Beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteWinter came to me.
How cute! My Grands would love it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea. I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI have an outdoor wreath on the front porch that lights up and plays several Christmas carols. When I'm not looking my hubby puts he speaker on silent, but I keep turning it up. Our neighbors love it--at least I think most of them do!
I have jingle bells on my doorknob...does that count?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this mat is unusual, Susan. I want one!! How interesting to step on the mat and hear the song "jingle bells." That's really something else.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun filled weekend.
love, ~Sheri
