Sumptuous Sunset

Any glimpse of the sun, in these parts, at this time of year is cause for celebration.

New England in the winters can get pretty gloomy, except for the blinding white snow.

The sun showed up at dusk the other late afternoon.

While cooking supper, I kept looking out the window.

Mother Nature's art gallery-in-the-sky was much more appealing than stuffed peppers.

Quite fascinated, the golden ball of a sun crept lower and lower in the sky.

It eventually melted, the skies turned pink and deep purple, then darkened and another winter night was upon us.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT SUNSETS?

  1. Susan did you know that every single day has a period of time that is blue in the afternoon - you can look it up - the blue hour. sandie
