Hope Springs Eternal...
As I write this during the first week of March, 2017, the temp outside is 15 degrees.
Yup, a mere 15 degrees , and believe me, that's c-c-c-c-c-cold.
Spring seems a very long way off except on the front door!
You read that right.
On the front door lilacs and daffodils are jazzing up a grapevine wreath and lavender ribbons sway in the winter breeze.
Hope (for spring) springs eternal!
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU LOVE ABOUT SPRING?
My Albany boy has had enough of the cold weather. :) It's gorgeous here in Kuwait at the moment. Hop on a plane and come visit.
ReplyDeleteI love the sight of new flowers and sound of birds singing early in the morning.
ReplyDeletePretty wreath! Wow you live in a cold area.
ReplyDeleteSpring is going wonderfully here in east-central Illinois - highs in the 50s and 60s most days. I think what I love the most about spring is - more hours of daylight!! It's finally light in the morning now when I leave for work (instead of darkness) and light when I come home. :)
We are in spring now here in Georgia. My mom used to say that springtime in Georgia is not a season, it is a blessing. And it is!

I love when the trees and flowers start blooming. There is nothing like that new spring green and the gorgeous pops of color as the world turns from brown to green.
ReplyDelete70 and 80 degrees where I live this week. My favorite temps. No wonder I love it here. Sunshine the year round. Hope you get Spring very soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty wreath - a lovely burst of spring for your front door. No matter the temperature, spring always arrives, right? Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm feeling guilty that our temperatures are in the 70s! I will send some warming weather your way, XOXO
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you bring spring to yourself via your front door!
ReplyDeleteI love to hear froggies talk to each other and the birds chirping as they build their nests. We have two bird feeders outside our dining room window so we can watch them as we eat.
Much grace to you,
Jen
San Francisco has been nothing but rain and rain and cold though not quite as cold as your place but just the same for us its cold.. Spring who is that or where is that I see no sign of him... have a wonderful day with love Janice

ReplyDeleteIn St. Louis the temperature will be int he 70s today and 36 on Saturday with snow showers. Unbelievable. Everything has budded out. Your wreath is festive and makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteI love flowers . And the birds chirping, butterflies. And the park and lake five minutes away. And to meet people walking in park and sitting on benches. Everyone seems to be much happier it seems.
ReplyDeleteWinter is so long. Hey that is what Canada is all about.
