Deeeeeeep Breath...

(Shown above is a very long-lasting rose, received on Valentine's Day. Now it's March and the little beauty is still going strong!)

During some months, there are many stressful days.

It's all part of the package called life.

Recently, during a particularly stressful morning, I sat down at the kitchen table.

Thoughts of several negative things happening swirled around in my head.

Taking a deep, cleansing breath, my mind turned to God.

Humbly, I offered Him my day and my life.

Within a minute, Problem #1 was suddenly solved.

Within an hour, all the other troubling situations also became resolved.

With a happy heart and peaceful spirit, I went on with my day.

All it took was turning everything over to God while taking a deep breath!

Here's hoping this precious day of life will be peaceful for you!

HOW DO YOU RESOLVE STRESSFUL SITUATIONS?

  1. Prayer is very helpful, and walking in the garden.

  2. Glad those particular stressful events were resolved.
A change of scenery, some peaceful music and/or a nap sometimes help, too - in addition to prayer.

  4. That rose sure has lasted a long time, since Valentine's Day. It is still lingering on. I'm so glad your troubling situations were resolved. Nature seems to work for me whenever I'm in a stressful situation. I look at the birds and wildlife and realize that God takes care of them, so he will surely take care of me. : )

Have a wonderful week ahead, Susan.

  6. I re-direct my thoughts to scripture and pray. It's impossible to both worry and pray at the same time. :)

  7. Prayer always works. Sometimes I'll hop in the car and take a drive, which is soothing.

  8. Same as you ... a deep calming breath, a whisper of prayer, and a setting my eyes on the One who lives in my heart.

A lovely post... wishing you a happy day!

  9. A calming technique and a prayer, the answers come if we are open to receiving. Blessings to you.

  10. Usually I read from the Bible or say the rosary. That helps me very much.

  11. To know that I am a Child of God and can take my prayers to him and read his word always.

    He never leaves us.
