Kitty in the Dollhouse

Look who's making herself comfortable on the dollhouse bed.

Why, it's Mousie,  the little gray kitty.

She stands about two inches tall.

She's very much at home in the master bedroom.

The pink and white bed cover and canopy top were hand-knitted by a dear fellow blogger, Tammy, who lives in Kuwait!

Her blog is T's Daily Treasures.

If you stop by her blog to say hello, tell her you saw her beautiful creations at Writing Straight from the Heart. Thanks!

She sent them to me a couple of years ago and they are used in the dollhouse during the warmer months, to give the bedroom a summery look.

The items Tammy made were not intended specifically for a dollhouse.

I think they were a potholder and coaster, of sorts.

But they fit into the dollhouse decor just perfectly!

What a great combination----a sweet, pint-sized kitty and handmade items from a dear blogging friend!

How cute is that!! My husband and I built a three-story doll house for our daughter many years ago. It sat here in our house and the grandkids played with it occasionally until we gave it to our daughter, thinking that's really where it belongs. She and her little ones have refurnished it, put in new wallpapers and carpets, etc. It's so fun to see another generation loving that dollhouse!

Very cute. A kitty is essential to a doll house.

Oh, doll houses do fascinate me, as I love miniature things. Your little cat looks sweet on the doll house bed, and your friend's handmade items fit just right over the bed. What a thoughtful gift. I love looking at all your doll house lovelies, Susan, and I hope to have one of my own someday. : )

Enjoy the rest of the week.

I love to see all the work that goes into making the very miniature things that go into dollhouses. You do a great job yourself making stuff Susan.

Hi Susan, thanks for your email. I haven't been blogging much lately. Am very glad to see you are still using the crocheted gifts I sent. I know how much you love your doll house, so I'd say that's probably the best place for them. Sadly, I won't be traveling this summer so am going to miss the opportunity to take advantage of the US Postal Service. I do wish the postal system on this side of the world was more reliable. Have a great day! Tammy
