Always Room for Angels

Due to a nasty bout of ill health, the task of taking down Christmas decor came to a crashing halt.

Ooooo wee, this has been a less than pleasant week.

Whether it's the flu or not is debatable.

What's not debatable has been a severely sore throat, swollen glands, lack of appetite and energy, and faucet nose!

In between crawling, again and again, under the covers of my bed, some Christmas decor managed to get packed away.

The little "golden" angel on the fireplace mantel, however, is going to stick around for awhile.

I found the sweet angel a couple of summers ago in a Goodwill thrift store.

Obviously, holiday decor was not on everyone's' minds.

However, when I saw the angel, it called to me.

The cost was less than $5, the angel is just precious, and goes nicely with the mirror frame on the wall above the fireplace.

HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO KEEP WELL THIS WINTER?

I'm so sorry you've been sick. So far I've managed to avoid any colds or flu and I'm staying home and away from pretty much anyone this week until my surgery next Friday. I do think your angel goes with the mirror and is very pretty!

You sound really bad there Susan - I am so sorry. Are do you totally ache all over?
I used to have two or three of those beautiful gold statues - I can't think now what I did with them. Love your angel.

Feel better.

I do hope you are feeling better soon. We all could use a special angel. Yours looks right in place by the mirror.

Susan, I had this nasty flu bug a couple of months ago, and the cough lingered on for a looooong time. I do hope you feel better, dear. Your golden Angel is beautiful, and I can see why you kept it out for the Winter months. It goes perfect with your mirror. Goodwill has some nice things sometimes. I just went there yesterday. Didn't find anything, but love to look around. You're right, there's always room for Angels. : )

Get well.

love, ~Sheri

I have an angel I keep up all year too Susan. I keep her in the bedroom and bring her out during the Christmas season.
I hope you do NOT have the flu ...maybe strep throat? You'd better check with the doctor just in case...get well soon.

Oh, Susan, I’ve been hearing the flu is really bad this year. So sorry you are not well. Hope you get much better with each passing day.
