Needing a Breath of Spring

Sometimes, in the heart of winter, my soul and nose yearn for a breath of spring.

That was the case last week.

The seemingly never-ending darkness of New England winter skies on some days started to get to me.

(Luckily, the sun has made several re-appearances.)

So it was off to the supermarket.

The stargazer lilies, being yearned for because of their intense fragrance, were nowhere to be found. Bummer.

But look!  There was a sweet hyacinth in my favorite color, pink. For under $5, it was perfect.

Oh, how fragrant little hyacinth has been and gorgeous, too!

As I sit at my laptop, typing away, its lovely scent wafts over to my nose and makes me smile.

Thank you, little pink hyacinth.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPRINGTIME SCENT?

Gardenias are my favorite, especially because they are so hard to grow. I appreciate their fragrance when I do see them!
