One of the luxuries of summer is taking rests on a lounge in the backyard.
The fountain trickles, windchimes tingle, and birds fly in for nibbles at two feeders or flit over to the bird bath for a sip.
Hubs, bless his heart, hung the feeders from an old line, making it virtually squirrel-proof.
They make dozens of valid attempts to raid those feeders but they cannot reach them no matter what! Yippah!
That doesn't mean the little bushy tails have disappeared. Uh uh. They peruse the area under the feeders for seeds the birds drop.
It's a lovely retreat when the weather cooperates.
