Now, with grandkids, there are more reasons to pick up little reading treasures.
The books really have to be treasures, though, because there has been a concerted (tiny?) effort to start to downsize the living room library, as well as the rest of the house.
The Goodwill stash we've been posting about turned up a truly adorable book titled, "Hug Me."
It's illustrated, in darling fashion, by Daniela Doglioni.
Leafing through it in the thrift shop almost brought tears to my eyes.
I could almost feel those little arms around my neck.
It's a darling book that got a nice cleaning on every page, although it's practically brand new.
A necklace with rich, fall colors hung from a rack on the Goodwill counter where one checks out.
Ohhhhhhh, it was such a lovely necklace and only $2.99 so I bought it and am glad.
Last, but not least, was a package of dowels. Cut down to the size of dollhouse windows, they will make good curtain rods.
An entire, unopened package for 69 cents was a good deal.
WHAT WOULD THREE OF YOUR FAVORITE MATERIAL THINGS BE, IF YOU WERE TO COMPILE A LIST?
