First of the Flurries...

The first dusting of snow arrived last night but it had very little sticking power.

So, is that a complaint?  Nope. I'm glad not much of it stuck.

The days are flying by at record speed so it's imperative to take moments of reflection to help slow down the passage of time.

A quick rest on the couch might turn into a full blown nap. If it does, who cares?  The body knows what it wants and needs, right?

There is still time to enjoy the "amber" days of fall.

HOW DO YOU, PERSONALLY, KEEP YOURSELF FROM RUSHING?

I absolutely HATE rushing . In my old age I give myself a lot of time before I have to go anywhere or do anything out of the ordinary. I'm always early at the airport or early for appointments. No more rushing around for me.

Hi Susan, I used to follow your blog a couple years ago. I've been on a blog break, but have recently returned to blogging. I am glad to see that the beauty of your site hasn't changed.

We (here in Southwest Idaho) had our first dusting of snow last week. It didn't snow at my house, but it did at both of my kids' houses, which are about 5 miles east of me.

I have really come to embrace slowness, and I especially find that the fall and winter season makes slowness so much more possible.

Blessings,

I am afraid I am guilty all the time of rushing. :(

I do like your words - the Amber Days of fall.

Beautiful.

Well, today was a rush rush kind of day, Susan, and I knew I had to get away from it all, so I drove to the country. I always find perspective there, and come back with my head cleared. I see different and interesting things when out in the fresh air and wide open spaces. Oh, how wonderful for you to see the first dusting of snow. And a nap during the day is such a pleasant thing. : )

Have a very nice weekend, Susan.
