Getting Ready....

This is a busy time of year.

Thanksgiving is coming soon and it is glorious to think of not cooking this holiday.

We are going to our daughter's house and spending time with the precious, within-driving-distance, grandchildren.

Things have been happening on the home front.

We've retrieved a lot of lovely decorations from the attic and the house is looking festive.

It's not nearly done but some of the familiar decor has come down and is bringing us joy.

Some things need repair and that's okay, too.

Little by little, inch by inch, everything will get done, right?

HOW DO YOU KEEP FOCUSED DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON, WITH SO MUCH TO DO?

I think the key IS little by little. Your decorations are so cute.

We are doing little by little too. Putting things we really like out - getting rid of some other things and assessing what we need to buy yet.

I'm one of the few who doesn't even begin to think about Christmas prep until December. I don't decorate until December 1st. BUT, I get as much time with my decor as others do, because I keep my stuff up through the end of January. So, I get my 2 months of Christmas, but I just get it on the other side. This year, I might even keep my winter/Christmas decor up through February, and then I will be in spring mode!!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Well, I try to get things done early, so I can concentrate on the real meaning of Christmas. I have had busy hands lately too, Susan, with decorating, etc. Your Santa is charming with his chocolates on hand.

I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving filled with lots of love and good foods. I am thankful for having a blog friend like you. Enjoy those precious grandchildren. : )

love, ~Sheri

Oh gosh I so not decorate nearly as much as you do so it is little by little around here with help from my son putting up my outside lights and Christmas tree. Enjoy your lovely home during the holiday season.
