Yummy Apple Pie....

There is nothing like a piece of hot apple pie, fresh from the oven.

For Thanksgiving, I was up past the eyebrows in apple pies.

A dear lady asked me to make four for her Thanksgiving dinner.  Whew!

For the first time ever, I used an egg wash, sprinkled with sugar, before I popped the pies into the oven.

She brought a large quantity of apples and I got to peeling them early Wednesday morning....more than three dozen of them!

The pies came out pretty good and I even made one for incoming houseguests and one for Thanksgiving dinner!

Yippah!

Delicious apple pies are truly just one of life's treasures.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KIND OF PIE?

Pumpkin.
Gosh that is a lot of apples - my hands have too much arthritis in them to do that.
They sure looked pretty tho.
What did you use the egg wash for?

Your apple pie looks so delicious!

I like pie, just about any flavour: chiffon pumpkin, apple, strawberry rhubarb, sour cherry cream pie, chocolate, banana cream, boston cream ...

Wishing you a beautiful day, Susan.
