The Importance of Gratitude
Peace to you as we begin the second week of December.
One life lesson that I'd like to share with you today is the importance of recognizing and expressing gratitude.
It is probably the most important lesson I have ever learned and it is truly life-changing.
Even in the darkest of times, if one looks hard enough, there are endless things for which to be grateful.
Here are a few that come to mind today:
1. The gift of eyesight
2. The gift of hearing
3. Being able to walk
4. Family, including our own grown kids
5. Grandkids
6. Friends
7. Nature, and all its beauty in every season
8. Christmas
9. Holiday decorations filling our homes and making them lovely
10.. Listening to Christmas carols
11, Rich, hot coffee in the morning
12. Beloved pets, our "fur babies"
13. Having another precious day to live---such a treasure-filled gift!
Okay, there's a baker's dozen of things to be thankful for. Try to think of another baker's dozen and write them down!
The little angel at the top of this post is very special to me because it was made by my late Mother.
Now, she IS an angel!
May you be blessed all through the week ahead!

I am so grateful for many of these things. xo Laura
You know Susan - I am grateful that God always gives me enough. Not more than I need or less than I need - but just enough.
I am grateful each and every day for just getting up in the morning and having another day to be useful to the world. THANK YOU LORD!
The angel that was made by your Mother is so special, Susan. And a wonderful list of things to be grateful for. Thanks for the reminder of gratitude during this wonderful Christmas season.

ps.....Yes, if I move, it will be close to Nel, and grandbaby Mia. : )
Such a sweet angel. A treasure for sure. December is marching right along, that's for sure. Have a good week.
I am grateful for my vision, too. So many beautiful things to focus on when the world gets you down. My warm house and soft mattress. My dear sweet great grand babies, and a reliable car. My husband goes without saying. It is such a comfort to wake before him and hear him snoring, knowing we have the gift of another day.
Life is good well most of the time.
