One surefire guarantee of feeling better is to get up and out into Mother Nature.
My daughter recently reminded me of that fact.
So off to our favorite, now frozen lake hubs and I went.
The bare trees looked quite stark against a slate gray sky.
Ice fishermen were out on the frozen surface of the lake, doing something I'd never, ever do.
They looked like little stick figures out there on the frozen surface, dipping their lines into holes in the ice that led to the pitch black water below.
By the time we finished with our little walk, we both felt better----momentarily rejuvenated.

As I just posted to my blog, I am happy even if I'm just spending time with the plants on my balcony which right now are buzzing and blooming with growth and life. Makes me happy. But I do enjoy long walks. Glad to hear you and your hubby got out for some healing in nature. It really is the best medicine.
You and hubs just went by a walk by the lake - I am amazed - good for you!
Nature is beautiful around your neck of the woods, Susan. All that snow, what a sight! I've always wondered about ice fishing - it loks so interesting and would love to try it someday. It's wonderful that you got out and took a walk on that cold wintery day. I always feel uplifted when I spend time in nature too. : )

My very favorite place is a lookout in Dana Point of the mighty Pacific Ocean. It never fails to inspire me with the bright sunshine and gorgeous waves.
