Keep Warm and Cozy

Snow, freezing rain, and ice are predicted for this week.

It's chilly even as this post is being written but the cost of  oil is so high, I am reluctant to move the thermostat up a notch.

It's the kind of weather that makes me want to bake something, like chocolate chip cookies.

It's also the kind of day that makes me want to light a candle or two.

HOW ABOUT YOU?  HOW TO YOU LIKE TO CREATE A COZY ATMOSPHERE?

It is evening here and your post prompted me to light a candle with the scent of Fraser Fir. A favorite in my home is to use an electric scent diffuser, mine is by the company Urpower, and the source of the scent is a few drops of organic oil in some water. Let's all keep cozy and warm.

I am trying to figure out your heat system when you say oil - I don't think mine works the same way, but I am sure it costs the same - except we have had no winter to speak of here. In the 70's this week, but I won't complain.

I have five very beautiful little candle holders - and I put in the battery operated lights - as I fear fire. They are so pretty though. They give me hope and joy.

I think as long as they flicker - they show us hope.

I guess our weather is coming your way. I spent the day eating sweets and savory treats. A pure junk day. Wishing you a sweet day.

I put my heat on every single morning and I live in southern California. It is chilly when I wake up. I do not use heat at night. I have an electric blanket that keeps me cozy and warm.

Hello my friend! I hope you're doing well. I just got back from Disneyland. To make my house cozy I use lots of little lites. I have 8 lites just in my main living area. All with low lite bulbs. 😊 Take care. Kit

My Albany boy is definitely not a fan of the weather. My son in Denver is also getting snow this week. Seems there was crazy weather in many states. Staying home and cozy is the best thing to do under those conditions.

Chocolate chip cookies sound good, Susan, and just the right thing on your cooooold February day. Lighting a candle is perfect too. I loved this charming post, Susan. Thank you for sharing your heart. : )

*oh, to answer your question.....I like to create a cozy atmosphere in similar ways as you do... with candles, a few Valentine decorations around, something baking in the oven, and a good movie to watch in the distance. (and if I have popcorn in the cupboard, that's even better). ; )
