Favorite Food from Childhood

Isn't it funny how food we loved as kids we still love?

That's true for me, at least.

My Mom used to make hash whenever she had leftover beef.

She'd use cubed potatoes, onions, and the beef.

Oh man, I loved that dish and make it to this day.

I'm always hopeful there will be leftover beef when a roast is being cooked for dinner.

Just made some hash yesterday and it was delicious.

Also made a big pan of spinach.

Other childhood favorites are 1) ice cream and 2) potato chips.

HOW ABOUT YOU? WHAT IS A DISH FROM CHILDHOOD THAT YOU STILL LOVE TO EAT?

My mom would fry okra during the summer months and that was so good to me. I still get hungry for that! Mother also made an applesauce pie. Today in fact, my niece in Indiana is having a bridal shower and my sis and I contributed mother’s applesauce pie recipe to her recipe box.
