Pansy Chorus

If flowers could sing, a pansy chorus in the front yard would fill the air with sweet melodies.

Their little faces look so adorable, lifted up to the sun.

I love the different color combinations and floral patterns among them, too.

They are such generous little flowers, with long blooming times.

Today, they got a good watering as they looked thirsty.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT PANSIES?

I know they wouldn't survive in our harsh environment. :) It's already 110 F and above each day so all my plants are struggling to maintain any sort of moisture. :/ Hope you are well.

Pansies look delicate but they are very hardy. At least in my climate. I love these beautiful, happy looking flowers.

What do I know about pansies?

I know that I love their cheery faces. I know their fragrance is so delicate you must lean in close to catch a whiff. I know they like cooler weather and are quite hardy. I know a person must keep pinching off the spent blossoms to encourage new blooms, otherwise the plant makes seed pods and goes dormant.

I'm glad we share a love of pansies, Susan. You have some lovely pots.

Happy Saturday,

I can't believe the color of those Purple flowers - they are magnificent. The deep Purple ones are quite mysterious and lovely.

I've heard they are from the violet family Susan. I don't have pansies here as it is too hot for them during the summer months. Yours are gorgeous. Love all the different colors.

Your pansies are so pretty. Here in Georgia, we plant pansies in October and they bloom all winter until May. Their colorful blooms remind me a little of butterflies!
