Seeds for the BIrdies

Some people feed wild birds but only in the winter months.

In summer, there's plenty for birds to eat out in the wild, they say.

Well, birds can find seeds in their feeders in our back yard in both summer and winter!

Boy, they eat a ton of wild bird seed mixed with sunflower seeds.

The feeder could easily be filled on a daily basis but it's actually filled just a couple of times a week.

Then, it's empty before one knows it.

Some of the seeds fall on the ground and an army of squirrels are quick to clean them up.

Early morning, it's pleasing to hear the choruses of bird sounds.

The birdies can come to our house for seeds whenever they wish.

DO YOU EVER FEED THE WILD BIRDS?

No as there are too many other creatures who would eat the seeds in my yard. Had to stop feeding the birds years ago.

Bet you have a lot of squirrels! LOL Do you have that feeder in a bucket. That is sweet of you to feed the birds all year round.

Oh, I used to feed the birds some bread crumbs at times when I was enjoying my coffee early in the morning at the park. Since moving to So Cal, I've been very busy doing things with Nel, and I sure miss visiting nature, Susan. It's such a peaceful place. I'm so glad you get to enjoy the birds right in your back yard. I think they know which house to come to. ; )

All year long there is bird feeders for our feathered guests. And especially during the nesting season. We have so many young coming now to the feeders. It is such a joy! Worth every penny to buy the seeds.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend, Susan.

We love to feed the birds and place several suet cakes in the yard in winter. It is always a joy to watch the birds come and go, especially the woodpeckers. I also enjoy placing hummingbird feeders near the windows. When I was caregiver to my dad, he loved to sit by his window and watch the birds and butterflies.
