Farm Stand Offerings Are the Best

It's always a pleasure to support farmers.

It's the right thing to do, too.

It's no easy task to plant veggies, raise chickens and other animals, and make a living out of it.

The hours are long, the work is backbreaking, and the living, (nor the money,) are definitely not easy.

It's so much fun to drive around the countryside, to new communities, and look for farm stands.

Sometimes they just appear and almost call to visitors to stop.

We stopped at a great farm stand recently in Western Massachusetts.

Even the stunning views around the farm made the stop worth it.

We came home with new yellow baby squash, juicy red tomatoes,  cucumbers, onions, and some fresh eggs!

Plus, we enjoyed seeing lovely rolling hills, a perfectly beautiful blue sky, and extremely fluffy white clouds.

HOW ABOUT YOU? DO YOU LOVE GOING TO FARM STANDS?

I do like going, but unfortunately there are not too many around.

Yes, we stop whenever we can for home grown veggies.

Our tomatoes did not make it this year, but of course...It's 2020.

Home grown veggies are the best! Interested in Linda’s comment above. We set out three tomato plants; not great results! Someone has said it might be a good idea to unplug 2020, then plug it in again! Whew!

I love them! If we see a vegetable stand, we always stop! When we lived in Vienna, Va. they were around all over the place and so beautiful! I miss that so much.

There are some farm favorites that we visit. Also some in our hometown too. A gal I went to high school with lost her hubby last year and they are farmers. But her kids are doing all the work now and it is good to see. I love the photos you have shared. I am trying to catch up around blog world. HUGS and PRAYERS to you Susan.

Not too many where I live but my son brought over some fresh carrots, and tomatoes from his side yard garden and they were delicious. I love veggies from the garden. Grew up with them as Dad had a huge garden.

North Georgia has many apple orchards and during the summer months they sell fresh produce. I love fresh veggies. The state of South Carolina where I am moving to is famous for their peaches!
