With Love, from a Friend

Some days hold unexpected but beautiful surprises.

Going out on the porch one day recently, to get the mail, I looked down and spotted something really amazing.

A bouquet of red roses, wrapped lovingly in pink and purple paper, lay on the porch floor near the mailbox.

A small white envelope was attached.

Once inside, the roses looked lovely inside an old fashioned, Victorian-looking pitcher.

The note was from a very dear friend who goes way  back to the second decade of my life, which was a long time ago.

Such an act of love goes a long way to cheer a heart and make a brighter day.

DO YOU LIKE TO LEAVE SURPRISES FOR PEOPLE YOU LOVE?

What a beautiful gesture, Susan, from your longtime friend. What a surprise and how it must have been a balm to your heart. The roses are gorgeous and the glass pitcher is so pretty.

What a beautiful and thoughtful gesture and how wonderful to have such a long lasting friendship. I'm sure that you are just as thoughtful as your friend is. Blessings to you both!

How thoughtful of your long time friend to send you some red roses. They look nice in your Victorian pitcher. Yes, I try to give surprises to the ones I love, but lately since we're at home, it's hard to come up with ideas for them. I even had to wrap Mia's present with coloring pages from my fairy book haha. But it all works out, doesn't it? ; )

Thank you for having such a sweet blog to visit while we have these days at home, Susan.
