Serendipitous Find

The thought of putting fake pumpkins, along with faux autumn leaves and straw in the window boxes, caused a trip to the Goodwill.

Unfortunately, there were no faux pumpkins to be found.

They had not even been put out onto the floor yet!

But, there it was-----a lovely little lamp that tugged at the heart strings.

It was almost brand new and the bottom was brass, my fave!

It doesn't matter a hoot whether modern interior designers think brass is passe. I love it.

The little lamp with the cranberry colored shade and dangling decorations all around its edge.

The price tag was $6.99.

It definitely went into my shopping cart.

Now, it looks so beautiful on the table near the bed. Love it!

I love serendipity.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN SERENDIPITY?

Yes, I believe some things are meant to be. Little miracles are happening all around us all the time. We just need to be aware and open to seeing them and appreciating them. What a great find!

We are kindred spirits. I found the exact lamp at Goodwill in light purple and I love it! Yours, too.
