The Power and Comfort of Prayer

These are such precarious times in which we are living.

COVID-19 has wreaked havoc around the world for a year now.

Precious lives, thousands upon thousands of them, have been lost.

This past week, the impact of the killer virus hit home with a vengeance.

My beloved, elderly auntie succumbed to the virus.

All the tears in the world will not bring her back.

Thanks to strong faith and belief in the after life, it is sure she is in a better place.

No more disappointments, pain, suffering, or tears for her. She is finally at peace and supremely happy.

Those of us left behind weep but we really weep for ourselves since we will miss our loved ones immensely.

Prayer is a powerful healer and a deep, abiding comfort.

DO YOU BELIEVE PRAYER CHANGES THINGS?

Prayer has always been very important in my life and it will be that way until I go to meet the Lord. Whether or not it changes things is up to the Lord. We have to do things in HIS time. I will always keep prayer in my life. I will miss our Aunt as I visited her each time I was in town. Now she is with the Lord and is smiling down on us.

Susan, I am sorry for your loss. These are sad and troubling times. We musthave faith or we have nothing to fallback on. Take care.

Prayer is everything. I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved Auntie, Susan. Thinking of you tonight, and sending thoughts of comfort and love.

I believe prayer changes many things and brings us closer to G'd. My sympathy to you and your family.

My deepest sympathy. A college friend from forty years ago passed away with COVID. As you say, we know they are pain free now but we miss them terribly.
