Art Works Add Beauty to One's Home

Adding art works of all styles and colors creates a personal space.

Whether you prefer one or two pieces on walls, in the style of minimalists, or as many pieces of art that can be jammed into a space, is individual preference.

My daughter loves cross stitch art and has several lovely, vintage pieces.

When I came across a cross stitch piece that read "HOME SWEET HOME," I knew it was meant for her home which is filled with love, kids, technology, and all that goes along with being a busy, modern day family.

When everyone there gets home, it is, indeed, sweet.

She loved the piece, which was presented to her Easter weekend.

WHAT KIND OF ART DO YOU ENJOY?

That is lovely, Susan. Your daughter must have been so pleased to receive such a pretty cross stitch piece.

Most of the needlework I used to do was given away as gifts, so right now I don't have any needlework on my walls. I have projects started but now they linger in closets, unfinished. Seeing your post makes me think I should dig them out and work to finish them.

Rick and I have collected quite a few original artworks, many pieces from local artists, that we so enjoy having displayed on the walls of our home.

Art is so important to the well-being of our souls. I'm so grateful to the many artisans who send their creative expressions of beauty out into the world for our enjoyment and delight.

I like anything that is home made by members of my family. I have several very talented artistic people close to me and I love getting things from them.

That was a sweet piece.

I like beach related/themed items on the wall, on a shelf or on the floor.

We have several pieces of one of our daughter’s art on display. I like art that has a reference to something applicable to our experience. Our state bird, flower, tree, scenes from my college campus, etc. Your daughter received a lovely gift!

Oh, this is so nice, Susan. I love what it says, as home is so special to me. And I like the blue frame too. This is a perfect gift for your daughter, especially since she loves cross stitch. Is this something you found or did you already have it in your own home? To answer you question.....I like unique art pieces, and I had several framed pictures that I gave away in the move, but they all spoke to me in some way. I usually pick pieces that relate to me in some way. : )

When I thrifted I was always finding wonderful thigns, apron, table runners, placemats, cross stitch and other artwork. Having no artisitic talent, I like to copy poetry onto colorful cardstock paper and embellish and frame it. In fact, my goofy doctor, when I had a sinus infection and had a zoom call with him asked me what was the art behind me he was seeing. Hee Hee Hee! I love what you found and I bet your daughter loves it too. HUGS
