"A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
Proverbs 17:22
I love the above proverb.
It's so true, too.
When making a concerted effort (and it DOES take effort) to have a cheerful heart, I really do feel physically better.
Little things tend to have the ability to make me smile.
For example, late afternoon sunshine coming through the yellow flowers, left, made me smile.
My son and daughter-in-law sent the flowers to me for Mother's Day last month.
The yellow flowers are the only ones still living from the gorgeous bouquet.
They look so pretty in the cobalt blue vase, given to me by one of my sisters.
As a matter of fact, she gave me her entire cobalt blue collection!
HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN A CHEERFUL HEART? TELL US, PLEASE!

I try to maintain a cheerful heart. Playing the piano and singing always help me and listening to classical music. Your vase and flowers look very pretty.
The yellow flowers look so pretty in the blue vase, Susan, especially with the sun coming through on them. Thank you for your uplifting words, and the Proverbs verse is special, indeed. That was so nice of your sister to give you her entire cobalt blue collection. I always love seeing it in your kitchen. : )

I try to smile at folks often, passing on a kindness.
