Kitchen Tree, Small and Cute

The more trees, both big and small, in a house at Christmas, the better.

They add to a very festive atmosphere.

Years ago, when she was downsizing, one of my sisters threw out a little tree, about three feet tall.

I grabbed it faster than a puff of wind.

It has been my kitchen counter Christmas tree ever since.

My six-year-old grands, who came for a visit, decorated it this year and they did a good job, too!

They know the big fat colorful lolly pops on it are not for eating since the pops are lacquered for use from  year to year.

I keep fresh candy canes for eating on a glass rim nearby.

So little kitchen tree adds to the ambiance and is lit as soon as I come downstairs for morning coffee.

HOW ARE YOU HOLDING UP SO FAR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON?

Finally getting the lights and decorations on my real Christmas tree today. I'm doing little by little each day so I won't be overwhelmed. Your kitchen tree is adorable.

Your little Christmas tree in the kitchen is delightful, Susan. I love those BIG lollypops you put on there I had a small tree many years ago, and at the time we lived in a big house. When I downsized, I gave it to Jess, and she put it in Francesca's room and decorates it in PINK every year. I'm so glad you grabbed that little tree from your sister. Good thinking. That must have been so fun for your grandkids to decorate it. It must make you smile when you go into the kitchen and make your morning coffee and see it. : )

Have a merry Christmas week, Susan.
