A Hint of Spring

On brutally cold days in winter, when ice-covered ground threatens serious injuries if one slips and falls, it's hard to think about spring.

However, there are little signs around if one takes the time to notice them.

In a market the other day, tall, regal daffodils definitely made a person think about spring.

Luckily, I had to buy a wedding anniversary bouquet and the daffodils fit the bill perfectly.

On the way back to my car, three different strangers remarked on the beauty of the bright, perky flowers.

The daffodils made people smile and feel hope for warmer days ahead.

A second colorful bouquet in the wedding anniversary house also looked absolutely gorgeous.

It was ablaze with colors that sizzled.

Ahhhhhh, flowers bring such joy to our hearts.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT DAFFODILS, ANYTHING?

What do I know about daffodils? I know that you can't mix them with other flowers in a bouquet because they will kill the other flowers. Also if you have problems with deer coming into your yard and eating your tulips in the spring plant daffodils instead the deer will not eat them.
They are such a pretty bright cheery flower and like you said they let you know that spring is on the way.

Daffodils are such a cheerful flower. I was just thinking the same thing, Susan. I want to look for some flowers at the grocery store that remind me of Valentine's Day and bring some home. It's been a long time since I treated myself with them. I love that photo of the two daffodils with the sun coming through the window and the snow outside. It's really a wonderful photo. I'm not quite ready for Spring yet, as Winter is lovely up here in the mountains, but awfully cold. Have a restful weekend, dear Susan.

I have daffodils in a pot in my yard but they are not blooming quite yet. I have yellow roses that are though. Love just looking out my window at them. I know the anniversary couple will love the daffodils.
