This is an original painting of a town in Nicaragua, Central America, where my late husband was born.
It was actually purchased in that country.
There is some kind of "fiesta" going on there in the street.
All the hundreds of little details spoke to my heart.
It has been moved from my beloved's man-cave to my home office.
When I see the painting, it makes me think of him.
DO YOU HAVE PAINTINGS YOU'VE PURCHASED BECAUSE YOU LOVED THEM?

I have a couple paintings by our sister Barb that I love. I really do not purchase paintings myself. I love the one of Nicaragua. It's very colorful.
That is a very nice painting, Susan, and so special because it reminds you of your husband. That was a good idea to hang it in your office so you can see it often. Yes, I have a painting of a woman taking time to smell the roses. The woman in the painting reminds me of my Mom. She was patient and had great perseverance. I love all the colors in this painting. It looks like you are going through things, and keeping those things that are close to your heart.

I have a rather large picture of a lake with two row boats at shore that I bought at a yard sale for $3. I love the lake scene which reminds me of the ocean.
