Good Friday is a sad day for Christians.
We think of the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus for each of us.
He was whipped, crowned with thorns, humiliated, treated despicably, and was finally nailed to a cross, suffering horrendously.
He did all this so that each of His children could live, be forgiven for their sins, and look forward to eternity.
It's a somber day.
For Catholics, no meat of any kind is eaten.
They reflect on the courage and immense love it took for Jesus, a humble and innocent man, to die for their sins.
Thank goodness, Easter Sunday is coming soon and Jesus will rise, once again, from the dead.
His death on a cross symbolizes life, for all who embrace Him.
