Some Polish crafts are very cheerful and colorful, including festive, wooden Easter eggs.
The first time seeing these beautiful works of art, it was love at first sight.
From that point on, whenever discovering Polish Easter eggs, some came home with me.
Throughout the decades, quite a few Polish eggs have been accumulated.
Today, they make a truly exquisite sight arranged on a crystal plate on the front hall table.
These days, I think of the kindness and generosity of the Polish people who are welcoming and helping the war-torn Ukrainian people who have flooded into Poland by the thousands.
My own late maternal grandparents were refugees to the United States.
When I think of the sacrifices they made, so I could have a better life, it fills my heart with love and my eyes with tears.
My late paternal Lithuanian grandparents did the same thing.
There is no doubt in my mind they are all reaping the rewards, in the other realm of life, of enduring earthly lives of sacrifice.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW, IF ANYTHING, ABOUT THE POLISH AND/OR UKRAINIAN CULTURES?

Such a fascinating collection of wooden eggs. And table top bunnies. I don't know enough about the customs or people. Have a great day.
I have a bowl of them on my dining room table too Susan. I cherish our Polish and Lithuanian heritage.
Oh, I like the Polish eggs even more so than the other ones. The colors are bright and cheerful, and they go well for Easter. They look very nice on your front hall table. I'm looking at all of them, and I love that red one with the turquoise flower, it's so unique. These eggs really spoke to me, as you know, I'm part Polish on my Father's side. His Mother had five kids, and when her husband passed away, she took care of those five children on her own.
What I know about the Polish heritage is that they are wonderful people. And I really miss the festival I used to attend every year in my old town. The culture with its foods, crafts, breads, and clothes, will always stay in my heart. I am in love with Polish sausage too. ; )
Thank you for this beautiful post, Susan. Loved it all.

I love the eggs those are so beautiful. The Polish people have not forgotten WwII like the AMericans have. They are well prepared for this new world order business. PLus they have always been so kind. Our country is a disaster and disappearing quickly. It makes me very sad, once freedom is gone, it will not return. SO I set my hope on Jesus.
