I think it's interchangeable with "bridal veil spirea."
One makes an appearance annually on one side of our front yard.
It's usually in May that we can expect the magnificent white flowers to gently sway in the wind.
She blooms, stays for a short while, and then is just green leaves until next May.
Well, guess what? It's May and bridal wreath spirea has just arrived.
One night she was all green leaves and in the morning, she was in glorious white bloom.
The bush is just one more wonder to add to an immensely long list of gifts from the Lord.

Beautiful blooms Susan...it reminds me of my white jasmine bush in my side front yard.
We've never had one in our garden, but I do love their beautiful display in spring. How lovely to wake up and find the blossoms suddenly there.
Susan, a blog friend told me that the flowering plant that drapes over my white fence is bridal wreath. It's so pretty, and I often see the hummingbirds hover around it while watering the plant in the early mornings. Mine is just a small area, and like you said, blossoms around May, but you have quite a huge bush there. It's beautiful in your front yard And look at all those white tiny blossoms!
