Moving from a house to an apartment is arduous.
There is a never ending sea of boxes, plastic bins, bags, and on and on.
The messiness of the task is rather overwhelming.
So, in the midst of the mess, it's comforting to at least have something nice to smell.
For me, it's candles.
So while packing, purging, and trying to keep sane, a vanilla cupcake candle by Yankee Candle Company has been flickering in the middle of the totally cluttered kitchen table.
For the first time in months, there was a trip to Marshall's yesterday.
It was so good to just have a change of scene from the gargantuan task at hand.
To complete the work at the house and begin the immense job of getting settled in the apartment, a maple butter candle came home with me.So, I'm ready.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO HAVE AROUND YOU THAT BRINGS YOU JOY IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES?

Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy.
Nice header Susan. Keep the faith. It won't be long now and this will all be over and you'll be settled in your new place.
Oh Susan, I miss Marshall's so much. We don't have any of the cool shops up here. I have to drive 50 minutes to the next town for some shopping pleasure. The maple butter candle sounds so nice, and I hope you enjoy it right now and at your new home. Candles are comforting and just cozy to have around. I'm so glad you got a chance to just browse at Marshall's and have a moment of peace. I love candles too, and want to get a pretty spice one for Fall.

A maple butter scented candle sounds lovely, Susan. I hope it's giving you a sense of peace and restfulness in the midst of your packing and purging.
If one tiny spot can remain 'sane' in the midst of a muddle that helps me to stay sane. So it might be a tiny posy on my bedside table or on my desk in the study. A bit of sanity in the midst of madness.
Wishing you a beautiful week ahead!
