In the process of moving, hundreds of items have been given away.
It's easy for some people to gladly give things away but, for me, it's hard.
It's not being selfish because there is a lot of generosity in my heart.
It's just that after finding and buying appealing things, they are fun to hang on to, display, and enjoy.
In other words, they kind of become a part of me.
Well, there are far too many things to display and enjoy when moving from a large house to a not-so-large apartment.
Take the little tin, and crippled angel, in today's post.
She was in my hand, ready to throw into the trash or charity box because her wings were broken.
They had snapped right off her back.
Also noticeable were damage and marks on her face and feet.
She was definitely a crippled angel.
Holding the wings in one hand and angel girl in the other, I came to the realization that maybe, just maybe, she could be restored.
At least, it wouldn't be horribly difficult to glue the poor little thing's wings back on.
So that's what I did, with a new tube of super adhesive glue.
The crippled angel remains in my care. She's now been all put back together again.
So, gavel down on the table, I'm guilty of being unable to let her go into the trash.
Who cares? Not me.
Somebody else can throw her away, after I kick off.
WOULD YOU HAVE THROWN AWAY THE LITTLE ANGEL?

Don't throw anything away that you really really love. I do not collect things so I don't know how to answer your question. I probably wouldn't fix something on my own that is for sure. ha ha
aaahhh, she's sweet. I'm glad you were able to fix her. I must get some of that super glue, as I have a few things that need repair as well. She must have sentimental thoughts since you kept her, Susan. Yes, hold onto those things. When I give something away, it's usually an item that doesn't have much sentiment to me. But I tend to keep the ones that are very special to me. I'm glad you were able to glue her precious wings back on. : )
