Happy Thanksgiving Day to All

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all who celebrate it!

Dear blog peeps, please know that I appreciate each one of you, with all my heart.

Without your reading this blog, it wouldn't be half as much fun.

Truly, I love sharing my life with all of you.

A few years ago, I handed the task of preparing a turkey dinner to my daughter and she does a truly splendid job.

Right now, Tom Turkey is filling her house with a truly luscious aroma.

(The pies shown were made by Jabari, my niece's husband. He's a fabulous cook and baker.)

My Lithuanian grandmother's stuffing will be part of the delicious feast, along with whipped turnips, fluffy mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce.  Oh my, it's hard to wait for those glorious words, "Dinner's ready."

This is my second Thanksgiving holiday without my "forever love." He's here in spirit, of course, but celebrating on the other side of life. He is still missed immensely.

Today is a good day to thank God for all the millions of blessings He has poured into my life and into the lives of all I love.

DO YOU CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING DAY? IF YES, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Your grandma's stuffing sounds delicious. It's a lovely tradition to carry forward.

It's late in the evening, and I've already had a second plate of turkey and sides. And some pumpkin pie and whipped cream. My son made a delicious turkey with lots of spices. Those pies that your niece's husband made look Yummy! What a variety of pies to choose. I am thankful for your friendship as well, Susan. Enjoy the leftovers tomorrow!
