Time for Christmas Card Writing...

No matter how many years go by or how old one gets, sending (and receiving) Christmas cards remains one of the best parts of Christmas.

Yes, it can get expensive.

 Yes, it's time-consuming.

But, in the end, it's worth it.

How wonderful it is to get in touch with old, as well as new, friends.

I treasure the cards received and the notes inside them.

There is a special light on my desk, shown in this post, and it's the one I like to write the cards by.

It's old-fashioned and dated-----kind of like me! ha!

DO YOU STILL SEND CHRISTMAS CARDS?

Even after I left the states so many years ago, I'd still receive lots of Christmas cards. Now, not a thing. I do miss sending/receiving mail. The postal system here is a joke, unfortunately.

I used to send 50+ with hand written notes to the special person. I would receive about 15 back. I just love a real nice cards and loved the beautiful paper and design. I saved my cards from year to year laughing at the photos aattached and a note from the writer. Then postage went up, most of the beautiful cards turned to cheap cards with just a signature at the bottom. So I cut back to about 20 then years later cut that back to about 10. I still buy special cards for those ten and write a personalized note in each one. I enjoy it. ~jackiesee~
