They are so exquisite and regal-looking.
Long stalks hold the delicate heads of the flowers.
They come in different colors like pink, purple, red, white, and yellow, and even periwinkle.
It's been said that orchids are a bit persnickety to care for.
To avoid overwatering, one is supposed to put ice cubes around the base of orchids, just once a week. All of the gorgeous orchids shown in this post are from Ward's Nursery and Garden Center in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

A visit there makes an enchanting mini-trip!
HAVE YOU EVER GROWN ORCHIDS?

Lovely orchids. I've never grown them but love to view them especially at Trader Joe's and other plant nurseries around here in California. Just beautiful.
Sometimes I see Orchids at the store, and they are just sitting there tall and pretty. I almost bought one before, but didn't. The ones you saw at the garden center are so pretty, especially that last purple one. Oh my, what a gorgeous color. Good to know about the ice cubes around the base and overwatering.
Have a lovely Easter week, Susan.
