Gifts of Mother Nature

While visiting a sister on her back deck, many of Mother Nature's gifts lifted the spirit.

Birds flew in, quite close, to munch on seeds my sister left for them on a railing.

Even a gorgeous, brilliantly red cardinal ventured forth but disappeared in a flash.

Her plants looked so lovely, particularly a periwinkle blue one.

Does anyone know the name of this plant with blue flowers?

Over the railing, down in the jungle of a yard, bee balm made a sea of green and red.

There was also an evergreen tree, that would make a perfect outdoor Christmas tree.

Imagine it with lights illuminating from top to bottom.

I'd pick all white lights.

Mother Nature gives us many gifts, free of charge.

All we have to do is look for them!

LOOK AROUND  AND TELL US ONE GIFT OF MOTHER NATURE YOU SEE RIGHT NOW. WOULD YOU?

Oh Susan, when I saw Mother Nature on your post, I came right over. You know how much I love nature. Your sister's back yard looks so green and lush, and those red flowers are just so pretty. And how exciting that the red cardinal came to visit! I don't see that bird here in California where I live. That does look like the perfect Christmas tree, and Yes, white lights would look nice wrapped around it. To answer your question.....there is a white feather on my front porch door mat. I've been seeing them lately. ; )

Beautiful nature pictures. I love the cardinal. That bird was our school mascot at St Johns.
