It's the day after Christmas, 2023.
The year, like time, is running out.
Soon there will be new days to plan and old memories to let go of.
There are no more little children of my own to give all my time and effort to.They are all grown up, have spouses and kids of their own, and are in the thick of busy lives.
In a way, it's kind of nice to have the cherished opportunity of just relaxing----of doing whatever I want----whatever strikes my fancy.
(Wreath at my sister, Natalie's house.)
It's so different from other days after Christmas, in past years.
Think I'll enjoy looking at my three foot Christmas tree some more, make a cup of raspberry tea, and have a cookie.
Yeah, that sounds like a good idea to me.
Hope you will have the opportunity to just relax for a few minutes today, as well.

It's nice to relax with a cup of tea and a cookie or cupcake and just sit for a time looking at the Christmas lights. I usually take all my decorations down right after Christmas, but since I will be traveling, I'll keep them up til I return. Sounds like a plan. ; ) Your niece's Christmas decorations are festive, and I love your sister's wreath with the snow, berries and red bow. It's simple, and so pretty.
Have a wonderful week after Christmas, Susan.

Oh I love to relax with a good book in my kindle and sit in my chair with my electric throw over me.
