Few things can compare to flowers for bringing cheer to one's living space.
Whether the blooms are living or have been fashioned from man-made materials, flowers are a perfect way to enhance decorating.
Dainty yellow daffodils came as a hostess gift for a St. Patty's Day luncheon. They are in a vase on the kitchen counter and automatically elicit smiles when glanced.
They are so pretty.
Perky tulips in different colors, in a crystal vase, now brighten a bathroom counter.
They sit on an intricate pink doily.
Modern decorators might suggest all old-fashioned "grandma" doilies are outdated and should be tossed forever. To that suggestion, I say, "No way."
If a doily is considered old-fashioned in decorating, one might say, "Who cares?"
I'm happy to use doilies in decorating as a personal preference.
If you want a suggestion for self-care, consider buying yourself a bouquet of flowers.
You will never regret it!
WHAT KIND OF FLOWERS DO YOU LIKE TO DECORATE WITH?

My yellow mini daffodils are blooming right now outside my dining room window. I love them.
