(A dollhouse on the second floor of Avery House.)
If Victorian houses and spooky historical facts are your jam, you would have loved a tour of the Avery House toward the end of October of this year.
The house is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. On the tour mentioned, the black dress-clad tour guide related the history of the home built in 1879.
(A room in the dollhouse). She included lots of information on Halloween traditions and how they evolved. Participants were led through rooms on both floors of the homestread.
There's a swoon-worthy dollhouse in a little girl's room on the second floor of Avery House.
(This is one of the rooms in the Avery House dollhouse on the second floor.)
An art piece, comprised of human hair, drew quite a few curious onlookers.
Apparently, there are many tours of the home offered throughout the year.
Here are photos taken in one of the "big house" bedrooms.
If you are ever in the vicinity of Fort Collins, check the website of Avery House to see what could be in store.

Yes love tours of old, historic homes and buildings. The doll houses are so detailed.
I love going to historical places. I toured John Adams home while I was back east. Things have improved so much since those old homes were built. Nice pictures Susan. Good job. I know you loved the dollhouse.
Oh wow. so pretty and almost perfect! I know this was a big thrill for you in seeing the dollhouse...What a great day for you!
I do enjoy poking around historical sites. Fascinating to see how people lived back in the day. What splendid doll houses. Susan, you must have had fun looking at those.
The doll house furniture is darling. It would be so nice to be creative and dress all the doll house rooms with pretty furnishings. I know this is a fun hobby of yours, and also and delightful one.
