Decking the Halls

Because Christmas is a favorite season around here, the "halls," or rather, the humble two rooms of the apartment, are decked to the gills.

While pink is a favorite  color, there are way too many tablecloths, napkins, towels, and so forth in red, from previous years, to not use them.

The little duck-covered red tablecloth dates back a long time.

It used to belong to my sister, Barb, but when she was tossing it, I grabbed it.

It has been a long-wearing tablecloth with no rips or tears.

There are red poinsettias against green backgrounds on the placemats.

A big bouquet of pink poinsettias are on the table, too, along with a lovely candle of course.

Candles cozy up a room in two seconds flat.

No matter how humble your dwelling place, it can be adorned with holiday attire from November through December.

DO YOU LIKE TO DECK THE HALLS?

  1. It used to take me 4 days - on the Thanksgiving weekend. I’m slowing down. Tomorrow I hope to deck the halls at house - not all of it but the important pieces that brings joy to my heart.

  3. Oh Yes, I like to deck the halls at Christmastime. It's my favorite season to decorate! The red tablecloth goes nicely with Christmas, Susan, and your table looks festive and pretty. You're right about the candles. They make a room so warm and cozy looking. I am lighting more and more on these days leading up to Christmas. : )
